This was a joint endeavour of a global travel enthusiast in Col Raja and an experienced travel industry professional in Mr Pillai who was then (1950s) working with Scandinavian Airlines in Mumbai.

A six-member team to start with, the team has since grown to an organisation with international presence in more than 85 countries.
