Mafatlal Industries, flagship of the Arvind Mafatlal Group, said its net profit stood at Rs 13 crore in the June quarter against Rs 4 crore recorded in the same period last year.
Profits improved largely due to better demand for textile produced by the company. Its total income was up 59 per cent at Rs 222 crore (Rs 140 crore).
H.A. Mafatlal, Chairman, said the amalgamation and capacity expansion across the denim and fabric divisions would strengthen the company’s performance in the coming days.
The company has a composite modern textile mill in Gujarat to produce yarn dyed shirting, suitings, voiles, prints, linens, bleached white fabrics, value added and fashion denims, school uniform fabrics, corporate and institutional uniforms, bed and bath linen and readymade garments.
