Home-grown auto major, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), on Friday said its sales jumped by 18 per cent to 37, 522 units in March as against 31,698 units in the same month last year.
The company’s domestic sales increased 19 per cent to 35,488 units in March as against 29,944 units in the same month last year. It exported 2,034 units in March.
The auto major also registered a 19 per cent growth in passenger vehicles segment at 17,320 units in March, as against 14,609 in the same month last year.
“It is a matter of pride for us that March 2011 has been a record month for both domestic and export sales in the history of Mahindra. We have closed the financial year 2010-11 with an overall growth of 26 per cent,” Mahindra & Mahindra’s Chief Executive (Automotive Division), Mr Rajesh Jejurikar, said in a statement.
