Tata Steel has recorded 2.21 million tonnes (mt) of saleable steel production in the second quarter this fiscal against 2.25 mt in the first quarter. It, however, maintained the same level of saleable steel in Q2 of last fiscal. The second quarter deliveries were 2.11 mt, up 4 per cent year-on-year. The company said it achieved the best-ever H1 automotive sales figure this year at 0.67 mt.
