McNally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd (MBECL) has obtained a Letter of Intent from SAIL's Bhilai Steel Plant for a Rs 379-crore turnkey contract.
The deal is for installation of a coke oven by-product plant complex linked to BSP's new coke oven battery No 11. With this, the order book of MBECL now has gone up to Rs 3,850 crore, the company said.
SAIL sources told Business Line that the contract would be signed later this week. The contract, the last one of the BSP's on-going coke oven expansion package, is to be executed within 24 months from now.
