Mercedes-Benz India has posted its best quarter ever with sales during January-March 2011 growing 67 per cent year on year to touch 2,135 units.
The C-Class witnessed 150 per cent year-on-year growth with sales of 983 units, followed by the E-Class at 789 units, a growth of 19 per cent YoY.
Sales during March were 833 units, making it the best month for sales and reflecting a growth of 89 per cent over the same quarter of 2010.
The growth was driven by the C-Class which with 356 units registered nearly four-fold growth over last year while the E-Class recorded sale of 307 units (March 2010: 255 units).
In the SUV segment, the M-Class sold 104 units against 20 in the same month last year.
