Minda Industries and Panasonic will establish a joint venture company to manufacture lead acid storage batteries for automotive and industrial purposes.
In an exchange filing, Minda said the investment would be about Rs 160 crore, with Panasonic holding 60 per cent stake and Minda the balance. The plan is to produce two million units in 2018.
