Financial Technologies Group venture NSEL today said it has won the ‘Futures and Options World (FOW) Award for Innovation 2010’ in the ‘Best Innovation by an Exchange in the field of product design’ category in the South and Southeast Asia and Australasia region.

The National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL), which commenced live operations from October 2008, is a national-level institutionalised, electronic, transparent spot exchange.

The FOW Award is instituted by the London based publication Futures and Options World. This award is a global recognition of the FT Group’s unique ‘Ecosystem Development Model’ TM and its domain knowledge and technological expertise, NSEL said in a statement here.

According to Mr Jon Hay, Managing Editor, FOW, “The purpose of FOW Awards for Innovation is to identify, reward and celebrate innovations that are both genuinely new, and helpful to the market.”
