The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Nalco, Mr Abhay Kumar Srivastava, his wife Ms Chandni Srivastava and two others on bribery charges.
CBI sleuths searched the residential and official premises of the Nalco chief in Bhubaneswar. The CBI claimed to have recovered Rs. 30 lakh in cash and about 10 kg of gold worth Rs. 2 crore.
Sources said that CBI conducted also searches at Indore, Delhi, and Noida trying to unravel a major bribery network.
