Buoyed by its retail business, jewellery manufacturer Rajesh Exports posted a 73 per cent increase in the third-quarter profit after tax at Rs 76 crore over the same period last year. Revenues grew 14 per cent to Rs 5,175 crore. Earnings per share registered an increase of 54 per cent. Mr Rajesh Mehta, Chairman, said: “The increase in profitability is primarily due to the increase in retail business of the company. The company has planned rapid expansion in retail, which should further increase the profitability and revenues of the company in the coming quarters.” The order book position as on December 31, 2010 is Rs 5,465 crore. These orders are to be completed within the March 2011 quarter.
