Less than a month after it announced its decision to shut its television manufacturing unit in Noida, Salora International Ltd has said it is looking to rejig the brand. The company has partnered with Japanese small appliances and thermoware maker, Zojirushi Corporation, to retail the latter's products in India.

“We had decided to shut down the Noida plant as it was cheaper to outsource our television production to a third-party manufacturer. Going forward, we will strengthen our presence in IT, telecom and small appliances through distribution,” Mr Gopal Jiwarajka, Managing Director, Salora International Ltd, said, adding the company will also start focus on LCD television in the coming quarters.

The company also distributes brands such as Acer, Dell, MSI, Motorola, MTS, Samsung Pleomax, Mercury and Nachtmann, among others.
