Sun TV Network has reported a net profit of Rs 208.34 crore for the quarter ended March, which as a percentage of revenue, works out to 45.34 per cent. Profit was 26 per cent higher than in the corresponding quarter of 2009-10, but was sequentially lower than the Rs 225.49 crore the company reported in October-December 2010.
In the full-year 2010-11, the company made a net profit of Rs 772 crore, against Rs 500 crore in 2009-10. Significantly, the net profit as a percentage of revenue, has increased to 40 per cent from 34 per cent, for 2009-10.
The company's Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 3.75 (75 per cent) a share, taking the total dividend for 2010-11 to Rs 5 (100 per cent).
