Hero MotoCorp (formerly Hero Honda) has appointed Mr Sunil Kant Munjal as the Joint Managing Director of the company for a term of five years, starting August 17, the company said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Mr Munjal, a board member, will now share executive responsibilities with his brother Mr Pawan Kant Munjal. Hero Group, promoted by the Munjals, bought out Japanese partner Honda's 26 per cent stake in the two-wheeler maker earlier this year. This month, the company unveiled its new name and brand identity.
