Plastic products maker Supreme Industries today reported 9.63 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 119.43 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 108.93 crore in the corresponding period last year, Supreme Industries said in a statement.

The company, which follows July-June financial year, posted 20.95 per cent rise in net sales during the quarter at Rs 1,256.43 crore against Rs 1,038.75 crore in the year-ago period.

For the fiscal 2013-14, the consolidated net profit stood at Rs 283.43 crore against Rs 290.09 crore in the previous financial year.

Net sales during the year stood at Rs 3,905.15 crore against Rs 3,359.03 crore in FY’13, Supreme Industries said in a statement.

The company also said it has planned a capex of Rs 200 crore on its Kharagpur complex in FY’15.

The board of directors of the company has recommended a final dividend of Rs 6 per share.

The company offers a wide and comprehensive range of plastic products and operates in various segments, including plastic piping systems, protective packaging products, industrial components, material handling systems and cross laminated polyethylene films.

Shares of Supreme Industries were trading 2.99 per cent up at Rs 587 apiece during afternoon trade on the BSE.
