Suven Life Sciences Ltd has secured seven product patents from different countries for its New Chemical Entities (NCEs) associated with neuro-degenerative diseases.
The patents granted to the Hyderabad-based company included two from Canada, three from India and one each from Japan and Eurasia. “The granted claims of the patents include the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by Suven and are being developed as therapeutic agents. They are useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with Alzheimer's disease, Attention deficient hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Huntington's disease, Parkinson and Schizophrenia,” the company said in a release.
