Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd will invest over ₹70 crore to expand its cement plant and establish a common infrastructure facility to provide space for notebook and text convertors and box manufacturers. The Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa announced in the Assembly today the state public sector company will establish a value added products manufacturing facility at a cost of ₹40 crore in Karur District. This facility will provide space for about 15 convertors. The 15 units will generate over 500 jobs, she said.
