Pre-school operator Tree House Education has opened a Global Champs pre-school centre spreading over 3,000 sq ft at Dharavi, a slum area in Mumbai. The school was inaugurated by Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC Limited.

Research has shown that children who have had a good experience in their formative years at preschool go ahead and complete their primary and secondary schooling successfully, and the dropout rate in high school falls significantly. The Global Champs endeavour of Tree House is towards building an ecosystem for helping children of the urban lower income groups to overcome that hurdle.

Tree House offers early education for children in the age group of 18 months to 6 years. Under the Global Champs brand, Tree House now has six schools in Mumbai's slum areas of Kandivali, Chembur, Vikhroli, Kharghar, Malad and Dharavi.
