To generate ideas for more efficient forms of urban transport, Volvo Buses India has announced a ‘Sustainability Mobility Award', where the winner stands to get a cash prize award of Rs 7 lakh and the runner-up Rs 3 lakh.
With the last date for submissions being September 1, the initiative has invited entries from groups, organisations, institutes and individuals who are working towards creating innovative solutions in the same area.
“This award is an attempt to recognise efforts of groups and individuals who have gone beyond the convention and have come up with innovative ideas to improve the urban transport systems in India. We hope that this initiative will spur people to come up with more ideas to make urban transport in India as good as in other countries,” Mr Akash Passey, Managing Director & CEO, Volvo Buses in South Asia, said.
