Japanese bikemaker Yamaha Motor announced on Tuesday a one-year cricket sponsorship deal with IPL team Deccan Chargers.
For the duration of IPL-4, the company will be the ‘Official Team Partner' in all the advertising and promotions activities of the team, be mentioned in all official media release by DC and have the right to unlimited usage of the DC name and logo.
Yamaha can also use images and signatures of a minimum of three players of DC, while gaining access to players for two days of promotion and events. The Yamaha logo will also appear on leading side of players' helmets and caps.
Mr Roy Kurian, National Business Head, India Yamaha Motor, said, “With cricket being the unofficial religion in India, what better way to be associated with the game than the mega event - IPL. Being the most watched sports event besides the Cricket World Cup, IPL serves to be the most lucrative platform for strong branding and reaching out to consumers.”
