Zynergy Projects & Services's 50 MW crystalline silicon module plant that is coming up at Sriperumbudur, some 40 km from Chennai, is likely to go on stream next month, the company's CEO and Managing Director, Mr Rohit Rabindernath, told Business Line on Wednesday. The company has invested Rs 40 crore in creating this facility, he said.
Zynergy promises 16.8 per cent module efficiency and is in talks with potential customers, Indian and abroad, for sales. This level of efficiency, Mr Rabinernath is quick to add, is only on the polycrystalline modules – the mono crystalline-based modules, which will also be produced at the plant.
Technology for the modules is from PV World Pte of Singapore. Meanwhile, Zynergy has commissioned a 1 MW plant, through its subsidiary Great Shine Holdings Pvt Ltd. The system uses copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) modules from MiaSolé, and SMA inverters, and will generate 1.6 million units of electricity a year. The projects come under a Central scheme that promises a tariff of Rs 18.45 a unit.
