Audi India on Thursday launched three luxury models in the A5 range, which include the A5 Sportback (diesel), A5 Cabriolet (diesel), and the S5 Sportback (petrol).

The three models have been priced at ₹54.02 lakh, ₹67.51 lakh and ₹70.6 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom).

Unlike the previous generation launch, Audi has decided to introduce the entire range in India.

Under the hood, the A5 Sportback and the A5 Cabriolet are powered by the 2.0 litre TDI engine, which produces 190Hp and 400Nm of torque.

Both the models get the 7- speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission which enables the A5 Sportback to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and.

The A5 Cabriolet additionally gets a Quattro all-wheel drive and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.

The two models have a top speed of 235kmph.

Being the only petrol engine offering in the range, the S5 Sportback is powered by the 3.0litre TFSI engine which produces 354Hp and 500Nm of torque.

This model gets the V6 turbo engine which enables it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph. It is mated to the 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox powering the 4-wheels via the Quattro drive system.

The model is expected to compete against its direct rivals Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG and the Volvo S60 Polestar.
