Pune-based automotive component manufacturer ADVIK Hi-Tech has won six orders for the supply of transmission oil pumps from Magna Powertrain, which is estimated to generate sales revenues of about Rs 350 crore ($51 million) over its lifetime. The orders would commence from the calendar year 2018.

Magna Powertrain, a part of Magna International, is a supplier of four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems globally.

The order contract is for the design, development, and manufacture of driveline oil pumps for passenger cars and sports utility vehicles. The oil pump will be instated by Magna Powertrain on their 4WD transfer cases to be assembled in Mexico, Germany, and Austria.

These oil pumps have been developed by the research and development wing at ADVIK Group along with their technical partner, Trochocentric GmbH, Germany. ADVIK has also set up a warehouse in Mexico to enable it to be closer to Magna’s assembly plant.

ADVIK Hi-Tech is already a world leader in the manufacture of oil pumps in the two-wheeler segment, along with tensioners and combined braking systems.

"Going forward we expect to expand into the four-wheeler oil pump space,” Aditya Bhartia, Managing Director at ADVIK Group of Companies, said.
