The air drying station — 1A was inaugurated by Mr Y.N. Thakare, the Principal Director, Commercial Audit and ex-officio member of the Audit Board, Hyderabad, here in the steel plant on Thursday. It was taken up as a part of the expansion project to increase the capacity of the plant from three million tonnes to 6.3 mtpa.
The order for design and engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of the air dryers was placed on GEM Equipments Ltd, Coimbatore. Mr A.P. Choudhary, the Director (Projects), Mr P. Madhusudan, the Director (Finance), Mr S.K. Poulose, the Executive Director (Projects), Mr J.K Rao, the Executive Director (F&A) and senior officials of the VSP, Mr M.N. Dastur & Co, and GEM Equipments Ltd were present on the occasion.
Mr P.K. Bishnoi, the Chairman and Managing Director of the steel plant, thanked Mr Thakare for the visit and complimented the RINL collective for the task completed.
