Alstom T&D India on Monday said it has bagged two contracts from Gujarat Energy Transmission Company Ltd (GETCO) to supply substations on turnkey basis, which would evacuate power from the State’s solar park.

Both the orders, worth about Rs 151 crore (€22 million), involves the manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 400 KV substations, the company said in a statement.

The substations will also play a role in strengthening the transmission network in Gujarat by acting as the evacuation and nodal grid substations. Additionally, it will also improve the energy flow in the western region, it added.
