Alstom T&D India has won a Rs 158-crore contract from Meja Urja Nigam Pvt Ltd for supply, erection and commissioning of a 400 kV sub-station in Uttar Pradesh.
Meja Urja Nigam Pvt Ltd is a joint venture company of NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd and the Meja coal-based power project is a 2x660 MW project at Meja (Allahabad).
The components would be made from its facilities in UP and Tamil Nadu, Alstom T&D said in a release.
