Alstom Transmission & Distribution India said here today that it has completed Power Grid Corporation’s Rs 105-crore 230 KV transmission project in Myanmar.
“Alstom T&D India has concluded the successful delivery of Power Grid Corporation’s (PGCIL) 230 KV transmission project, worth around Rs 105 crore in Myanmar,” the company said in a statement.
The contract covered supply of a turnkey substation for the 230 KV transmission project which links the 120 MW Thahtay Chaung hydro power project to the electrical grid.
The project is expected to be commissioned in 2015, the release said.
“This project further showcases our technological leadership in the transmission space and reaffirms the confidence that our customers have in our ability to deliver world class products and solutions in a variety of regions and geographies,” Rathin Basu, Managing Director, Alstom T&D India said.
