Amara Raja Batteries Ltd has set up a Powerzone retail store in Tirupati, the 1000th such store in the country.
It later launched its 1001st Powerzone retail store in Chittoor. The Powerzone stores are part of a nation-wide expansion to cater to the rural and semi-urban markets across India.
Spread across an area of approximately 250sq ft, the Powerzone stores in both Tirupati and Chittoor will be one-stop-shops that offer automotive and power-related products, including automotive batteries for passenger cars, tractors, trucks and two-wheelers, inverter and tubular batteries and home UPS for rural and semi-urban households and shops at local prices.
The company lends technical expertise to these ventures set up through franchisees.
Mr Jayadev Galla, Managing Director, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd, said, “Powerzone stores have been instrumental in providing world-class product offerings and experiences to rural and semi-urban India.”
