Amway India has launched its first digitally-enabled experience centre in Bengaluru. The direct selling FMCG company has partnered with Microsoft to conceptualise and design the store with the aim to transform both the consumer and distributor experience.
The experience store leverages multiple new-age technologies such as ‘Augmented Reality’, ‘Gamification’, ‘Virtual Makeover Solution’, ‘Interactive Table Application’ and ‘Virtual Cart’ to give an immersive experience to the user, a statement from Amway said.
Anshu Budhraja, CEO, Amway India, said, “This Centre is part of a broader strategy wherein our aim is to leverage digital technology to transform the distributor and consumer experience. We are targeting to launch more than 10 such centres over the next five years.”
The company is bullish about India as a market and is strengthening its product portfolio, and getting into newer product categories such as cookware. “This calendar year alone we plan to launch 10 new products in the country,” he added.
Located on the Indira Nagar 100-ft road, the 24,000 sq. ft. experience centre includes a digitally interactive table application that reveals details such as product features, value proposition when a product is placed on it, and a virtual cart which does not require customers to carry a physical cart around the store as products can be added to the personalised virtual cart and payment can be made online.
