This is to inform that the Board has accorded its approval in its meeting held on July 26, 2019 to shut down its Gas based captive power plant at its Nagothane factory, with a capacity of 4MW for being economically unviable, as the cost of Electrical energy produced through this plant was working out to be more than the cost of electrical energy available through Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) and Open Access.
The above shut down of captive power plant does not have any significant impact on the operations of the Company as adequate alternative sources of energy are available at competitive prices.
