Asahi Infrastructure & Projects has bagged a project worth Rs 10 crore from the Municipal Council of Washim, Maharashtra, for construction of 544 houses and infrastructure work such as roads, sewerage system, community centres, pre-primary schools, water supply pipelines and development of parks.
The project, to be completed within nine months, is part of a Central Government-sponsored scheme.
Besides, it has also secured a Rs 7.75-crore order to build 327 houses from the Central and State Governments along with allied infrastructure.
The project is located at Nagar Parishad Umred in Nagpur, the company said.
Asahi Infra is currently on a project to build 800 houses and other infrastructure facilitiesfor the Municipal Council, Partur District of Jalna.
The value of the contract was Rs 18 crore and the project is to be completed in 18 months.
PWD registration
The company plans to pitch for PWD registration in Class-I limit from the Governments of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Once approved, the status will help the company undertake the State highways project under the PPP (public-private partnership) model.
In order to bring down cost of operations, the company plans to set up a brick manufacturing plant with fly ash and gypsum as raw material. It will come up in three sites, including Jalna and two more to be identified.
