Asianet, the first Malayalam satellite TV channel, is all set to launch an exclusive round-the-clock movie channel ‘Asianet Movies’ on July 15.
The movie channel will have a library featuring super-hit movies, classic movies and evergreen movies in addition to the most recent films, a spokesman said here.
It would also air ‘new beats’ in the industry, star chats and other movie-related programmes.
Apart from staple Malayalam movies, the channel would also dish out super-hit movies from Tamil and Hindi languages.
‘Spanish Masala,’ a Malayalam film directed by Lal Jose and starring Dileep, Kunchakko Boban, Biju Menon and Daniela, would constitute the inaugural fare.
The free-to-air ‘Asianet Movies’ will be available all over India, West Asian and other countries.
In Kerala, the channel is available through all major cable TV operators and leading DTH platforms.
The technical are as follows: Satellite: IS-17; orbital location: 66 Deg east; down link polarisation: horizontal; down link frequency: 4006 MHz; symbol rate: 14400 Ksps; carrier: DVB-S2; and modulation: 8 PSK. ()
