Three-wheeler maker Atul Auto Ltd on Wednesday said it has registered a 38 percent increase in sales during August, selling 3,204 units as against 2,322 units for the same period last year.
Further, the total sales touched 13,778 units during the April-August period, up 18 percent compared to 11,692 units during the corresponding period of last fiscal, Niraj Chandra, Director, said in a statement.
Expressing the hope that the good monsoon would further boost the sales, he said the recently-launched Atul Gemini DZ has also contributed positively to the company’s portfolio, along with Atul Shakti and Atul Gem.
In 2012-13, the company posted a stand-alone net profit of Rs.25.92 crore, compared with Rs.15.60 crore last year, an increase of 66 percent. During the year, the company sold 32,040 vehicles, compared with 27,000 units during the previous year, reflecting a growth of 18.67% per cent.
