Paper manufacturer Ballarpur Industries (BILT) has reported 43.3 per cent dip in its net profit to Rs 34.3 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2012, compared with Rs 60.6 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
BILT follows the July 1-June 30 fiscal year, therefore the current announcement covers the company's financial performance for the nine month and third quarter of fiscal 2011.
The revenues for the quarter stood at Rs 1,225.2 crore, marginally up by 5.22 per cent, compared with Rs 1,164.4 crore a year ago, a company release said.
Total paper production stood at 6,24,723 million tonnes in nine month fiscal year 2012 compared with 6,39,327 million tonnes in fiscal year 2011.
