State-owned Balmer Lawrie reported a near 29 per cent dip in net profit to Rs 25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014. Net profit stood at Rs 35 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The turnover during the period, however, saw a six per cent increase to Rs 725 crore, as against the Rs 683 crore reported in the year-ago period.
Profits came mainly on the back of its industrial packaging, logistics infrastructure & services and tours and travel segments. The other verticals reported minor losses.
