Footwear manufacturer and retailer, Bata India Ltd, has earmarked Rs 100 crore for the expansion of its manufacturing units and stores this year.
The company plans to invest Rs 15 crore on strengthening its manufacturing facilities and about Rs 70 crore in setting up new stores across the country.
According to Mr Rajeev Gopalakrishnan, Managing Director, Bata, the company will invest Rs 15 crore each year for the next three years to upgrade machineries and expand the production at its manufacturing units at Batanagar, Patna and Bangalore.
