The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids to secure mobile and internet rights to international and domestic series tournaments played from October 2011 to March 2014 at a reserve price of Rs 3 crore per match.
“The reserve price for the rights is set at Rs 3 crore per match, including test, ODI (one-day international) and T20 international,” BCCI Secretary and President-elect, Mr N. Srinivasan, said in a statement today.
The tender notice issued today said that matches and video-on-demand content on the internet will be streamed with a time lag of five minutes in India. However, internet broadcasts will be live across the rest of the world.
Streaming on mobile phones will be in real-time in India, as well as the rest of the world.
BCCI is selling the tender documents for a non-refundable sum Rs 2 lakh each and the last date for submission of bids is September 6.
