Being Human Clothing, brought out by Being Human-The Salman Khan Foundation and Mandhana Industries, plans to enter the kidswear category, targeted at boys in the age group of 6-14 years. It currently offers men and women apparels and accessories.

“We felt the boys’ apparel category will complement our current portfolio and increase penetration of our products. We will be introducing this clothing line some time next year across our stores,” said Manish Mandhana, Managing Director, Mandhana Industries.

He said the new international territories, such as the UK and Canada, were also being explored to strengthen the brand’s international presence.

Mandhana said the company is looking at launching its products across offline stores as well as the e-commerce platform in these countries. The brand is already available in countries in West Asia, Europe South Africa.

As far as domestic expansion is concerned, the company plans to add 25 stores this year. This would be a mix of franchise-run stores and company-run stores. It will also add about 100 shop-in-shops at retail outlets, said Mandhana. The brand is currently available in India through 33 standalone stores and about 165 shop-in-shops.

Mandhana said the brand has seen strong growth in revenues over the past three years and is set to close 2014-15 at about ₹200 crore.

“We are following the omni-channel strategy. E-commerce currently contributes about 15 per cent to our top line. We have partnered with several e-commerce platforms and could also look at launching our own e-store, too, in the future,” he added.
