Berggruen Hotels has launched its new upscale hotel brand Keys Klub in the four- and five-star category for business travellers. The first hotel in the brand will be in the western region and operational from this month, said Sanjay Sethi, Managing Director and CEO, Berggruen Hotels.
The new brand will establish hotels across tier-I cities in India, all owned, managed or franchised by Berggruen Hotels. “We plan to add two hotels in the Keys Klub category every year. Our focus for further expansions will mostly be on the asset light model,” Sethi said.
Properties under the new brand will include 100 and above rooms with room size of over 275 sq ft. The hotel will include an all-day global cuisine restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lounge bar, banquets and conference halls.
Expansion plans
The hospitality group, which operates hotels and resorts under the brand Keys, plans to expand to 75 hotels with an inventory of 6,600 rooms by 2016.
“By 2016, we are expecting combined revenue of Rs 410 crore from the owned and managed hotels,” Sethi added.
