Bhushan Steel Ltd said on Monday it has received environment clearance from the Ministry of Environment for the addition of a 7 million tonne per annum (MTPA) pellet plant to the existing 5.6 MTPA integrated steel plant in Odisha's Dhenkanal district.
Earlier, on February 12, the company said its board had given "in-principle approval for the demerger of the Odisha plant of the company into two parts". It also said a "detailed process thereof is to be examined /determined".
The Rs 2 stock of Bhushan Steel closed up 5.68 per cent at Rs 38.15 on the BSE.
