Biocon has been ranked No. 9 in the Science Careers top 20 employers survey of this year.
It is the only Asian company to be featured in the list of global biotech and pharma companies, the company said in a statement. Further, Biocon has been recognised for ‘being an innovative leader in the industry’, ‘having a clear vision’ and ‘being socially responsible’, the statement added.
The Science and Science Careers' 2017 annual Top Employers' Survey polled employees in the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical and related industries to determine the best employers in these industries, as well as their driving characteristics.
This year 7,000 people from North America, Europe and the Asia/Pacific Rim participated in the web-based survey. The survey added that 94 per cent of the respondents were from biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical companies.
