Eastern India's first bone marrow transplant unit was launched here on Monday at Apollo Gleneagles Cancer Hospital by Ms Preetha Reddy, Managing Director , Apollo Hospitals Group, according to a press release.
Dr Rupali Basu, CEO, Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Dr V. R. Ramanan, Director (Medical Services), and Lt Gen (Retd) Dr Saibal Mukherjee, Director of Oncology Services, among others, were present.
The unit will be headed by Dr S.Chakrabarti, the release added.
