Upstream oil major Cairn India has re-appointed Aman Mehta, Omkar Goswami, Naresh Chandra and Edward T Story as independent Directors. A company release said that the Board has approved their appointment as Additional Directors of the company from April 1, 2017.
Aman Mehta is an economics graduate from Delhi University and has worked with HSBC group for over 35 years and retired in January 2004 as CEO Asia Pacific. Goswami holds a Masters’ degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and D. Phil in Economic History from Oxford University. Chandra graduated with Masters’ degree in Mathematics from Allahabad University, is a former civil servant and has been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan in 2007.
Edward Story holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity University, Texas, a Masters’ degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas and an honorary Doctorate degree by the Institute of Finance and Economics of Mongolia. He has over 50 years’ of experience in the international oil and gas industry and is the founder, President and CEO of SOCO International, Londo
