Power utility company CESC Ltd has announced an increase of 7.8 per cent in its net profit at Rs 110 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, compared with Rs 102 crore in the same period last fiscal.
During the quarter under review, the revenues increased by 18 per cent to Rs 939 crore from Rs 797 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, CESC said in a statement.
The company’s generation capacity increased by 15 per cent, following the commissioning of the third unit at Budge Budge, the statement added.
