Pals Plush India, subsidiary of a Chinese toys company, broke ground for another plant at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.

Ajay Sinha, Managing Director, performed the bhoomi pooja with Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City.

Pals Plush is the first Chinese company in Sri City and has taken up expansion to cater to the growing demand for toys.

Seema Nehra, Director, Pals Plush India, said, “Having a set up in Sri City for the past seven years, we have enjoyed the best of services and support, which in turn has given us the confidence to expand our Plush Toys manufacturing to a new level. We see this growth to be accelerating in the coming years, we see adding up more capacity, in phases.”

“With the plant expansion, our total annual production capacity will reach 7 million units. We shall be employing about 600 rural women in the new expansion set-up,” Nehra said.

“The expansion testifies the to the investor-friendly ecosystem that has been built in Sri City. Pals Plush’s expansion will drive economic growth in the region by creating job opportunities for the local women,” Sannareddy said.

Pals Plush will build the new plant on a 3.5-acre plot and it is expected to be ready in 10 months .

Established seven years ago, Pals Plush India is among top ten manufacturers of soft toys and accessories.

With the present work force of over 300 rural women, the company produces toys that get shipped to 80 countries.

International Toy Majors like Hasbro have been buying from Pals Plush. The range of toys spans everything from ‘huggables’, such as teddy bears, and to Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
