Clove Dental, a dental chain promoted by Global Dental Services, will open 200 clinics in the South in the next two years.
The dental chain has 160 clinics across 11 States. The plan is to open 600 clinics over next the four-five years, according to a press release. The company plans to achieve this target by adding 10-12 clinics every month over the next few years. So far, the company has invested $25 million and will invest $25 million more for the expansion.
The major expansion drive is a result of huge potential the dental care services market provides. According to a report by Ken Research, the India dental care services market will reach over ₹14,700 crore by 2020 due to growth in the number of dental chains in the country. This growth indicates the huge potential the market provides for organised players to capture the market, the report said.
Sekhar Chennupati, Head – Clove South, who spoke at the launch of two multi-speciality clinics in Chennai, said in the press release: “The organised healthcare is more advanced in the South and we hope the discerning customers of the Southern States will be appreciative of our clinical excellence and technologically advanced treatments.”
