Coromandel International, a leading fertiliser player belonging to the Murugappa Group, has posted a lower turnover of ₹3,571 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2016, against ₹3,600 crore in the same quarter last year. The standalone numbers of the company, however, reported a higher net profit of ₹213 crore in the quarter against ₹170 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The consolidated numbers during the quarter was put at ₹3,575 crore (₹3,600 crore) in the quarter. The net profit was put at ₹221 crore (₹184 crore).
