Online education platform Coursera has raised $103 million (about ₹723.7 crore) in a funding round led by the SEEK Group. The series E round also saw participation by existing investors Future Fund and NEA, a statement said.
“The Fourth Industrial Revolution ... is reshaping our lives, businesses, and jobs. Coursera is at the forefront of preparing individuals, companies, and governments to meet that challenge ... and turn this disruption into opportunity,” said CEO Jeff Maggioncalda.
He added that the new funding would give the company flexibility to expand globally and accelerate development of its learning platform, which currently serves 40 million learners, 1,800 businesses, and over 150 top universities.
