Cummins India Ltd announced on Tuesday that Sandeep Sinha, MD, Cummins India and Vice-President, Cummins India ABO, has resigned to pursue business interests outside of the company.
“We wish Sandeep well in his new career,” said Norbert Nusterer, Vice-President and President of Power Systems, Cummins Inc, in a statement.
He added: “We will miss his leadership vision, strong business acumen, and commitment to excellence that enabled the ABO to continue delivering outstanding business performance. Throughout his career, Sandeep lived the Cummins value of excellence through his focus on areas such as safety, quality and operational efficiency. He will also be remembered for his deep commitment to building relationships with customers and employees.”
Sinha joined Cummins in 2004 as a Corporate Indirect Purchasing Manager. Over his career at Cummins, he held several leadership roles in Corporate Strategy in the US, New and Recon Parts and the Industrial Engine Business in India.
He played a key role in starting multiple plants at the Cummins Megasite in Phaltan, India. Before taking his most recent leadership role, Sinha served as the COO of Cummins India.
Cummins India Ltd’s Board of Directors is committed to confirming Sinha’s successor and will run an efficient and expedient process, the company added in the press statement.
“The company continues to operate under a strong leadership team and is focussed on continuing to deliver strong results for all stakeholders,” the statement added.
