The Cement and Manufacturers’ Association on Monday appointed Dalmia Cement (Bharat) MD and CEO Mahendra Singhi as its new President.
Singhi on the appointment said, “The Indian cement industry is at a significant moment of its history and I look forward to leading the Association towards a sustainable global future taking together all the relevant stakeholders and partners in this journey”.
Science and Law graduate, Singhi has earlier served as the President of Rajasthan Manufacturers Association. Before joining the Dalmia Bharat group, he has also worked with Shree Cement. Presently, Singhi is also theChairman of the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCCBM).
“It has been a rewarding and a very satisfying two-year period when we could usher in fresh thinking and accelerate the Association on an irreversible track,” said Shailendra Chouksey, past president.
