The turnover of the Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) for 2018-19 has risen to ₹ 698.51 crore against ₹ 612.12 crore during the previous year, the company announced on Friday.
The board of directors have recommended for shareholders’ approval, the annual results for 2018-19 in the board meeting held on Thursday.
During 2018-19, the PSU company carried out dredging activities for Kolkata/Haldia Port, Cochin Port, Kamrajar (Ennore) Port, Paradeep Port, Cochin Shipyard, Visakhapatnam Port, Mongla Port (Bangladesh), Gujarat Maritime Board, Indian Navy- Kochi, Gangavaram Port, and Mumbai Port.
The profit after tax for 2018-19 has more than doubled to ₹ 44.59 crore as against ₹ 17.14 crore for 2017-18. The earning per share (EPS) of the company has also more than doubled to ₹ 15.92 per share for 2018-19 as against ₹ 5.94 per share for 2017-18.
The board has recommended a dividend of 30 per cent (previous year 20 per cent) per equity share of ₹ 10 each.
